Tan-Y-Garth Hall
Tan Y Garth Hall consulted AFAE a few months ago because they had identified they needed a fire alarm system to ensure the safety of their unique building. The building is a grade II listed Arts & Crafts country house set in 13 acres of woodland with excellent views of the beautiful Ceiriog Valley near Llangollen in North Wales, it is a centre for the study, research, teaching and dissemination of spiritual, psychological, scientific and creative knowledge, in an open and inclusive environment. It aims to provide people with practical opportunities to explore and apply such works to improving spiritual and physical well-being.
Designed for the job was C-TEC’s Cast XFP system with a total of 106 devices throughout the building. John Westerman, Contracts Manager at Allied, said: “We were pleased to be allowed to take on this job, it was a special one. Working with Tan Y Garth we planned the installation of the system to how it suited them. We feel when working with unique buildings it is key to keep wiring invisible and only seen when completely necessary. Using C-TEC’s CAST XFP system we found confidence in installation and commissioning, and with the soft addressing, it means if changes were to be made In the future they could be easily adjusted to suit the customer's needs."
